We weren't that familiar with HomeGoods, but we recently learned that they allow dogs when Ren's friend Milo, an Italian Greyhound, went there with his mom Laura. HomeGoods is part of the same company as TJ Maxx and Marshalls, and has a similar concept of selling "off-price" merchandise, such as discontinued items, cancelled orders, or off-season products. HomeGoods sells housewares, home decor, and also pet products.

Ren and I went there to check it out. I confirmed with one of the employees that dogs were allowed, although their rule is that the dogs must be in a carrier or in a shopping cart. So unfortunately, larger dogs would not be able to come. I had brought along one of Ren's beds, so I put that in the bottom of the cart so he could sit comfortably.

Ren wasn't really sure what to make of the situation, as he's not used to being in a shopping cart, but after a while he relaxed and seemed interested in his surroundings as we walked down the aisles. I didn't end up buying anything, but it's nice to know that I can bring him there on future shopping trips if I need to get something.
