Paws in the Park is an annual fundraiser for the SPCA serving Erie County. It is a scenic 2-mile walk held at Beaver Island State Park, and will feature dozens of pet-related vendors, demonstrations, and contests.

Patriotic Paws Parade

This is the 2nd Annual Patriotic Paws event, held by the non-profit group Lancaster Unleashed, to raise money for their efforts to create a dog park.

Dress up your dog in a 4th of July themed outfit (optiona) and join us for a parade around the Midway. There will be prizes for most patriotic pet & owner / Pet Look-A- Like.

Dog Days of Kenmore

Now in its seventh year, the annual Northtown Subaru Dogs Days of Kenmore, organized by the Kenmore Village Improvement Society, is an outdoor celebration of all things canine. Includes a large selection of dog-related vendors and rescue groups, dog sports, contests and prizes, music, and food trucks for humans. All well-socialized and leashed dogs are welcome.

Dog Days at the Ballpark (1 of 2)

$14.50 for humans, but dogs get in free!

The Buffalo Bisons hold a "Dog Day at the Ballpark" each year, where dogs are allowed come watch a game with their humans. This year there are two days: May 6th and August 28th. The days include a pre-game Doggie Parade around the warning track of Coca-Cola Field. You can then watch the game with your dog in the centerfield berm area or in Section 128 down the right field line. There will be Cooling Station for dogs to get a quick drink.

Attendees with dogs must enter Coca-Cola Field through the Centerfield Gate.

The Centerfield Gate will open one hour before game time with the pre-game Doggie Parrade beginning roughly at 12:25 p.m.

This is the 13th annual Pat McGee fundraising walk for the Lakeshore Humane Society. Here's some background on the name:

This walk is to honor the late Senator Pat McGee who supported Buster’s Law. Buster’s Law was named
after an 18-month-old tabby cat that was doused with kerosene and burned to death by a Schenectady
teenager in 1997. Also known as the Felony Animal Cruelty Law, it created the category of “aggravated
cruelty to animals,” a felony offense punishable by up to two years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Great Hertel Dog Walk

Shops and restaurants on Hertel Avenue and North Buffalo are participating in this pet-friendly event. Well-behaved leashed pets are welcome in shops and restaurant patios that display a "Dogs Welcome" sign and a red, specially-marked water bowl. This is a great opportunity for shopping and dining with your dog!

Wine and Wags

Wine and Wags is one of the Erie County SPCA's annual fundraisers. It was previously held on the grounds of the shelter, and it still is, but now that location is in West Seneca. Local restaurants will be selling food and drinks, and there will also be pet-related vendors. Leashed dogs are welcome, as always.

Eastern Hills Mall Spring Pet Expo

The Eastern Hills Mall usually has a Pet Expo once or twice a year. It includes pet-related vendors and rescue groups with adoptable animals, and giveaways. As always, pets are welcome to attend.

You can also get your pet's photo with the Easter Bunny, from Cherry Hill Photography, between 12-7pm. This is in addition to their already-scheduled session on March 29th.

Clarence Bark in the Park

Clarence's annual "Bark in the Park" event is being re-imagined, so that it is an event in itself rather than a part of their "Day in the Park" festivities. So it is a little earlier this year.
